I’ve worked with diverse organizations, institutions, and people. My emphasis has been to truly collaborate, to develop a project that draws from experience — both mine as a storyteller and media-maker, and the subject expertise of my collaborator — rather than to rely on boilerplate solutions. Below is a sampling of individuals and institutions with whom I’ve worked on film, video, and related media projects (by category, in reverse chronological order).
Museums
National Museum of the American Indian, Smithsonian
I worked with NMAI staff and Shoshone-Bannock journalist Mark Trahant projects for NMAI in Washington DC:

Raptor Research Foundation
I worked with conference organizers to document a 50th anniversary panel on the Madison Group, a historic effort by scientists to commit to saving a species, Peregrine Falcons.
Golden Gate Raptor Observatory
In projects close to my heart, I worked with staff to create video for recruitment, training, and education for a long-term raptor migration study.
A Day in the Life of a GGRO Bander introduces apprentice raptor “banders” to the reality of a day of collecting data on migrating raptors.
I am currently video recording interviews with long-term citizen scientists who piloted and have developed a unique citizen science project. I have also created materials from those interviews for events such as a 25th anniversary Symposium (which we documented extensively as well.)
Pandemonium Aviaries
I created two short videos for the non-profit avian sanctuary and species preservation program:
Saving the Victoria Crowned Pigeon. A look at the Crowned Pigeons of Papua New Guinea, and Pandemonium’s efforts to establish a breeding program to preserve the species. (2012)
Welcome to Pandemonium. A video to accompany a book by Michele Raffin about her efforts to establish Pandemonium and to work to preserve endangered species. (2011)
