The Place We Call Home

This documentary follows the story of my parents and seven of their neighbors, who lost their homes to a massive landslide. As the personal story unfolds, The Place We Call Home also tells the larger story of the unrecognized national problem of landslide damage and the absence of protections against and assistance with this type of devastating disaster. This program is intended for television broadcast; community forums on insurance and federal disaster assistance; legislative meetings on landslide insurance; and educational distribution.

Production for The Place We Call Home was completed with funding from the U.S. Geological Survey, nonprofit foundations, and individuals. We are currently seeking funds for postproduction. A 9-minute clip is available for viewing.
